SDCC – ONE OF THE TEN MOST PROMISING COMMUNITY ENTERPRISES IN THE

2014 VILLAR SIPAG AWARDS ON POVERTY REDUCTION

The Villar SIPAG Awards on Poverty Reduction was launched on August 2, 2013 at the Villar SIPAG offices along C5 Extension in Las Pinas City. SIPAG stands for Social Institute for Poverty Alleviation and Governance. It was officially launched to honor community enterprises that have been instruments in reducing poverty. The event was led by the Founder of Villar SIPAG and former Senate President Manny B. Villar, Senator Cynthia A. Villar and Las Pinas Representative Mark A. Villar.

The Villar SIPAG Awards aims to recognize community enterprises as models of good practices in poverty reduction, to document community enterprises through the SIPAG Poverty Knowledge Management Center and to share valuable information through action research, capacity building and seminars.
